Monkey see, monkey do

Tonight I asked Aaron what he wanted for snack right after supper, which is standard procedure.  He said cookies (yeah, Pillsbury!) and I said we'd throw them in the oven after I walked the dog.  Aaron proceeded to ride his bike with me while I walked the dog, which was cool.  Then we came home and put the cookies in, and they got a bit overdone for Aaron's taste.  In the meantime, I had been thawing some frozen peaches to put over some frozen yogurt.  Aaron walked by the frozen peach bowl and grabbed a peach, and declared it yummy.  He then proceeded to get out a teeny tiny sized bowl (like I use for fro yo) and pack it with peaches and ice cream!  That was his snack tonight instead of cookies!  I'm 1) thankful that he had fruit before bed and 2) wondering how many fat grams he saved himself...        :)

M & M's

Research indicates that students perform best before an exam if they have access to peppermint and a little big of sugar prior to beginning the test.  For years, I have given students 5 M & M's and a peppermint to enjoy before every achievement test I give.  Then I normally enjoy a bit of the M & M yumminess myself.  Not today, though, and not this week.  Challenges, challenges.....

Sleep - my wonder drug!

NO WEIGHT LOSS this week :(.   But a big reminder of how important sleep is to me!  My lupus was giving me fits all week, and I suspect that had a LOT to do with a sleep deprived week.  This morning I couldn't complete a scheduled 8 mile week due to rain, so I headed back to bed.  I ended up sleeping almost 10 hours last night, and what a difference that makes!!  So, somehow, I continue to work on balance.

Three more pounds!!

YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!  Even though this weekend was insanely busy, and I had a couple of treats, I still lost three pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also didn't record some of the point values, mostly due to the fact that I haven't had the time to look them up.  I'm hoping this week will be a bit more normal.....whatever that means.
